A spokesman for the Israeli military said in its statement so that at around 8:00 am (local hour), a rocket was fired from the Sinai Peninsula towards southern Israel. However, the rocket exploded before and immediately fell to the ground and there were no reports of casualties or damage yet.
The incident incident took place at a time when US President Donald Trum trips depart from Jerusalem to Bethlehem, where he met with Palestinian President Abbas.
